I’ve read various statistics and know through my interactions with college students that it’s very common to change your mind about your major, sometimes several times! But I want to hear from YOU. If you’re in the early stages of exploring potential careers, the Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH) can provide valuable information that can aid in your decision-making. How do you get resolutions about better managing your career to stick? Spring is a common kick-off time for all sorts of projects, including career-related. However, even for the same goal (e.g., getting a new job), different strategies will work for different people. For example, getting a job that you love means identifying what you love and getting hired to do that for a living. That equation doesn’t change. But the process for someone who knows what they want and is familiar with the job search process versus someone just starting out is very different. Therefore, whatever your goal, start from where you are. |
